Financial Performance BOC India net dips in Q2 Kolkata, Oct. 16 BOC India Ltd, now a member of the Linde Group, has reported a sharp drop in net profit at Rs 7.08 crore in the second quarter of 2007-08 compared with Rs 11.84 crore in the corresponding period of last year. The profit before tax at Rs 12.28 crore (Rs 19.16 crore) also recorded a decline. The company’s total income during the quarter ended September 30, 2007, dropped to Rs 99 crore (Rs 127 crore). While the turnover of the gases and related products recorded about s even per cent increase to Rs 88.63 crore (Rs 82.96 crore), that of the project engineering division saw a decline to Rs 10.25 crore (Rs 43.66 crore, including Rs 29 crore in respect of plant sales to Bellary Oxygen). The division recently won two contracts worth Rs 318 crore from SAIL for its Rourkela plant and IISCo’s Burnpur plant.
