KSBC pays 400% dividend for 2004-05

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 17 The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) has declared a dividend of 400 per cent for 2004-05.

The corporation handed over a cheque for Rs. 4.10 crore as dividend to the State Government on Wednesday. The paid-up capital is Rs 1.02 crore comprising 10,250 equity shares of Rs 1,000 each.

According to Mr N. Shanker Reddy, Managing Director of KSBC, the corporation had a gross turnover of Rs 2,320.22 crore in 2004-05 and it contributed Rs 1,824.44 crore to the State exchequer. The profit after tax was Rs 13.68 crore.

The turnover in 2005-06 amounted to Rs 2,636 crore and the contribution to the exchequer to Rs 2,054 crore. In 2006-07, it went up to Rs 3,143 crore and the contribution to the exchequer to Rs 2,424 crore.

Canara Bank training programme

Canara Bank’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development for Women, Thiruvananthapuram Circle Office and the bank’s Manacaud branch jointly organised a six-day training programme on food processing exclusively for unemployed women. The inaugural function was held here on Wednesday.
