Tata Motors’ corporate social responsibility initiative

Kolkata, Oct.18 As part of its corporate social responsibility, Tata Motors Ltd today flagged off its initiative to support the cause of primary and secondary education in Singur.

According to a press release, desks, benches, chairs, tables cupboards, electrical fittings and educational and sports material were provided to a primary school in Ruidaspara, Berabari, in the presence of school authorities, panchayat officials and local residents, among others.

Similar programmes

The company has planned similar programmes to upgrade school infrastructure in the project area. It is also planning to set up a computer laboratory in one of the high schools .
