Hardware Corporate - New Projects HP sets up new facility Bangalore, Oct. 18 Hewlett-Packard has established a facility spanning 70,000 sq.ft at Whitefield, on the outskirts of Bangalore city. HP is a $100.5-billion enterprise with a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure. In India, it generates revenue of Rs 12,250 crore and employs 29,000, according to media reports. The new campus, set up in July, will house the Systems Technology & Software Division (STSD), the Asia Pacific arm for Enterp rise Storage Systems and Software Global Business Unit. Research and development for products such as HP-UX (Unix), HP-UX Development Environment, diagnostic tools, storage, OpenCall and OpenView are conducted by this group. The STSD team was previously located at a premise in central Bangalore and its occupants will be moved to the new facility, said the spokesperson.
