Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Oct. 18 Networking technology provider Cisco today announced the introduction of ‘Advisory Services’ that align Cisco Technology solutions with customers’ business strategy and helps them take informed decisions.

These services would be offered to larger companies initially and the company plans a different offering for small and medium sized businesses shortly. The services would initially focus on real estate, banking and financial services and retail sectors. This move is part of Cisco’s understanding of customer requirements by offering services for improved productivity, and increased network availability. -

The introduction of Cisco services in India was marked by the appointment of Mr G.B. Kumar as Senior Vice-President, Services Sales, Cisco, India and SAARC.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Kumar said: “India is a strategic growth market for Cisco, and we will focus on providing our top tier customers with proactive services aimed at supporting their business and technology solutions. In today’s growing global business in India, the need to support mission critical networks and secure environment becomes core to business success.”

These services are modelled on a solutions-led approach, increasing the level of services-led interactions with customers and help them design and deploy the right technology.

With the IT services market poised to grow by over 25 per cent, Cisco expects strong demand across all its verticals – IT Services, Service Providers, Commercial (SMBs), Government and Defence and Enterprise.

The focus is on converting a traditional network to an intelligent business system.
