The company, which has so far been importing these products from countries like China, Thailand and Japan, now plans to manufacture washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves and air-conditioners at the company’s up coming facility at Kashipur in Uttranchal. “Till now, we have been man ufacturing low and mid-segments products. But with the new plant getting operational from January onwards, we would start manufacturing premium segment products after the initial six months,” Mr Anirudh Dhoot, CEO, Electrolux, said at the launch of the company’s new range of refrigerators priced in the range of Rs 23,990-28,990, with a capacity between 3.10 litres and 3.40 litres.
