Gujarat Gas net rises 60%

Ahmedabad, Oct. 25

Gujarat Gas Company Ltd (GGCL), a subsidiary of BG Group Plc, has seen its volume of gas sold to retail segment increasing to 240 mmscm against 197 mmscm in the corresponding period last year, a growth of 22 per cent due to focus on retail market, as its PAT increased by 60 per cent partly due to a stronger rupee, the company announced on Thursday in its second quarter results for the fiscal 2007-08. - Our Bureau
