Raymond posts Rs 30.7-cr net

Mumbai, Oct. 27 Raymond Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 30.72 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 compared with Rs 141.47 crore in the same period last year.

The figures are not comparable as Raymond divested its denim business in August last year, according to a company release. Net sales for the quarter were down 3.64 per cent to Rs 345.54 crore as against Rs 358.62 crore in the same period last year.

Total income remained steady at Rs 374.53 crore. The company’s scrip on the BSE closed at Rs 335.60, up 1.08 per cent, compared with the previous day’s close of Rs 332.
