Chennai, Oct. 31 Chennai-based Sri Krishna Sweets, which has a chain of 53 outlets across the country, Dubai and the US, is joining hands with Spencer’s Retail to have a separate counter at Spencer’s Daily outlets in Chennai.

Including its flagship Mysurpa, a range of sweets and savouries will be made available at select Spencer’s Daily stores in the city starting November 1.

Addressing a press conference to announce the tie-up, Mr M. Murali, Managing Director of Sri Krishna Sweets, said the arrangement will hold good for other markets too over a period of time. “As we have kitchens at Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Hyderabad, it will be easy for us to supply to Spencer’s stores in other cities as well,” he said.

Spencer’s Daily already has similar arrangements with Ganguram in Kolkata and Chandu Sweets in Mumbai.

Sri Krishna Sweets also tied up with Indian Oil Corporation to have small corner stores in select Indian Oil retail outlets in the city. Besides, it also launched a restaurant – Rasam - in the city. According to Mr Murali, it plans to expand the restaurant to other localities soon.
