New NMDC chief takes over

Hyderabad, Nov. 2

Mr Rana Som took over as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd today. Mr Som has been a functional Director on the Board of Hindustan Copper Limited and the State Trading Corporation of India Ltd since November 2000. He also functioned as the Chairmancum- Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited for a period of one-and-a-half years till 31 March 2005, when he turned around the Company, an NMDC press release said. - Our Bureau
