Revathy Coimbatore, Nov. 4 Xenos Technologies has rolled out a security system to prevent the theft of vehicles. “We have developed an alarm and remote start system with two remotes,” says Mr Jerry Daniel, Vice-President and COO, Xenos Technologies. While the remote locking system may not be new, the company has added features such as vehicle locate, vehicle immobiliser, remote start, electronic learn remote etc. which makes the product more interesting. Explaining the functionality of vehicle locate, Mr Daniel said “if a vehicle is lifted/stolen, the owner would be able to locate the vehicle by sending an SMS to the vehicle. A unit which functions like a Black-box is fitted in the vehicle. This receives and sends signal to the vehicle owner. The vehicle immobiliser function would enable the owner to put the vehicle out of action even from a remote location. The owner can send an SMS for stopping the fuel flow, gear lock or any such message to immobilise the vehicle. The instruction is dutifully carried out by the electronic device.” Xenos has introduced a similar one for the four-wheelers too. More Stories on : Two/Three Wheelers | Technology | Security
