Dr Prakash gets M.S. Swaminathan award
Hyderabad, Nov. 5
Dr B.S. Prakash, Head of Dairy Cattle Physiology at
National Dairy Research Institute (Karnal), has
received the second M.S. Swaminathan Award for his
contribution to the livestock sector. Instituted by the
Retired Indian Council of Agricultural Research
Employees Association and Nuziveedu Seeds, the award
carried a citation, a gold medal and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash.
Dr Prakash won the prize for his extensive research and
solutions for solving the infertility problems in buffaloes.
Ms D. Purandareswari, Union Minister of State for
Human Resources, presented the award to Dr Prakash on
