Channels and Franchises States - Andhra Pradesh MMTC franchisee to sell silverware Visakhapatnam, Nov. 7 MMTC Ltd has appointed Shriji Associates as a franchisee on the VIP Road here to sell silverware, gold and silver medallions from Wednesday, according to a press release. MMTC is the largest importer of gold and at present it is imports about 150 tonnes. MMTC is in discussion with a leading international producer for setting up a unit to manufacture gold/silver medallions and also a gold refinery as a joint venture. For marketing the finished products from the proposed unit as well as jewellery from other sources, MMTC is also planning to set up a chain of retail stores in partnership with an Indian company, adds the release. The MMTC is also increasing the number of franchisees to sell the silverware under its brand, Sanchi. - Our Bureau
