Cocoa price, arrivals improve

Kottayam, Nov. 7

The market situation with respect to cocoa has slightly improved as a result of the better recovery of dry beans. Usually, wet beans are dried in sunlight for good recovery. The small growers resort to sun drying as mechanical drying is expensive. The arrivals have also improved at present, according to Campco sources. The price of cocoa has now improved to Rs 22-23.50 a kg from Rs 20-21 a kg during the previous month.
