Our Bureau

Ahmedabad, Nov. 17 Syndicate Bank has become the first bank in the country to launch a new facility for online submission of requests seeking credit facilities by the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), students for higher education loan under the Syndvidya Scheme, and others.

The facility, made available through its Web site, www.syndicatebank.in, can also be used by traders and individuals wanting to avail themselves of a housing loan, Mr K.U. Vasanth Rao, General Manager, said here on Friday. Syndicate Bank is leveraging technology for better customer service, ensuring hassle-free process of getting loans by prospective clients with faster decisions.

The applicant would get an acknowledgement of the form automatically, with a unique reference ID, enabling him/her to track the status of their application.

The bank has also asked its regional offices to process the loan applications immediately and convey it to the application provided the application was found in order.

The system would facilitate the bank to increase flow of credit to the SMEs and other sectors. Most of the applications found in order would be settled in three to four weeks.
