Overseas Investments Uniworld Logistics’ new offices The Bangalore-based Uniworld Logistics, a total logistics solution company, has opened new offices in China and South-East Asia. Mr M. Premkumar, MD and CEO of Uniworld Logistics Group companies, said that the objective is to provide complete logistics solutions to customers with efforts and competitive pricing. With its own offices in Asia and partners worldwide, the company would be able to serve more than 250 locations worldwide. The company also acquired a domestic com pany in Malaysia and entered into joint ventures in Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, he said. The company, established in the year 2001, had achieved a turnover of $40 million in the accounting year 2006-07. Its current sea freight volume is 15,000 teus per annum and air-freight volume is 9,000 tonnes per annum. Both import and export are growing at 25-30 per cent a year, he said. Uniworld is strategically located at 14 locations in India. In the year of its inception, it handled 14 charters from the US, Germany and China.
