Chennai, Nov. 19 Australia-based UAS Pharmaceuticals has launched its range of dermatological products in India.

Announcing the launch here at a press conference, Mr Anuj Seth, International Business Manager, UAS Pharmaceuticals, said the company introduces 12 products, all manufactured in Australia, in the country under three brands — Dermavive, Neutriderm and Sunstop. The product range includes acne skin cleansing bars, shampoos, dry skin crème, moisturising lotion, shower and bath oil. “We have decided to take the prescription route and the brands will be promoted through dermatologists,” said Mr Seth.

UAS has appointed Essential Healthcare as its distributor in the country. According to Mr Seth, the Chennai launch will be followed by the national rollout. “The Indian skincare market is worth around A$600 million, and the size of the dermatological market which is the seventh largest therapeutic segment in the Indian pharma market, is A$430 million,” he pointed out.

At present, the company’s products are available, apart from Australia, in 11 countries globally.
