Spot rubber rules steady

Kottayam, Nov. 24 Physical rubber prices closed unchanged on Saturday.

RSS 4 finished flat at Rs 93.50 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi as there were no fundamental or technical changes to set the trend.

Futures firm

On NMCE, the last traded price for the December contract was almost steady at Rs 94.50 (94.45), January at Rs 96.40 (96.57), February at Rs 97.87 (97.88) and March at Rs 99.50 (99.50) per kg for RSS 4. The open interest stood at 4,769 (4,616) lots with 1,556 (1,511) lots in December, 1,773 (1,706) lots in January, 1,182 (1,164) lots in February and 258 (235) lots in March.

Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 93.50 (93.50); RSS-5: 90.50 (90.50); ungraded: 84.50 (84.50); ISNR 20: 90 (90) and latex 60 per cent: 63 (63).
