HR is Human Resources. But Dr Anil Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda, for whom HR is a pet topic, defined HR now as Human Risks! He said this at the panel discussion to discuss CEO experience with global best practices. He was talking about how every licence given to a private bank such as ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank ended up as some kind of packing order for a couple of public sector bankers. He added that public sector banks face the problem of seein g the staff they trained moving out to private to foreign banks. It was like training talent for one’s own competitors.
