Off-shore Development Web Extras - Software Cybernet-SlashSupport widening European reach Our Bureau Chennai, Nov. 30 Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), a US-headquartered IT company with offshore development centres in India, is expanding its presence in Europe through a partnership with Bergler ICT, the Netherlands-based IT solutions company. The company will provide offshore-based technology support and Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) for Bergler’s European customers from its offshore operations in Chennai, Mr Shiva Ramani, co-founder and CEO, CSS, told newspersons via a video-conference from the US. Both companies will jointly target new clients in the Benelux market – an economic union in Western Europe comprising three neighbouring monarchies of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Bergler has also created an “outsourcing” vertical as part of its service offerings.
Mr Ramani said around 200 people would be required to take care of the additional business generated through the partnership. He did not share revenues expected from the three-year partnership. Cybernet-SlashSupport in 2006 signed a similar kind of partnership with NTT Com, Japan, in the IMS space to target its customers. On the tie up Mr Ramani said, “Japan is a tough market to crack. It takes longer time to get a referral customer in Japan. Japanese companies first try the product or solution for a few months, before deciding to work on a longer durations,” he said. Mr Rob Wessels, CEO, Bergler ICT, which has revenues of $28 million with 185 employees, said the IT outsourcing market in the Netherlands was estimated to be around $1.5 billion, and growing annually at around 40 per cent. Majority of companies in the Netherlands are yet to consider outsourcing their requirements, he said. More Stories on : Off-shore Development | Software
