New Delhi, Dec. 6 The Department of Telecom has allowed Reliance Communications to start GSM services in 14 circles and has refunded around Rs 300 crore to the company out of the entry fee the company had paid for offering dual technology. While Reliance had paid Rs 1,651 crore for offering GSM services across the country, DoT has refunded the money for eight circles since the company already has GSM business there. This was one of the issues raised by the GSM camp in their complaint agains t the Government’s decision to allow dual technology.
