Weak trend in spot rubber

Kottayam, Dec. 8 The domestic rubber prices showed a weak trend on Saturday. The market activities were dull lacking global guidance. Sheet rubber RSS 4 moved down to Rs 91.50 from Rs 92 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi on buyer resistance.

Futures slip

On NMCE, the December contract finished the session at Rs 93.48 ( Rs 93.53 ), January at Rs 94.48 ( 94.69), February at Rs 96.10 ( Rs 96.21 ) and March at Rs 98.10 ( Rs 98.09) per kg for RSS 4. The volumes stood at 828 ( 1,732 ) lots and open interest 6,766 ( 6,774) lots. The December futures slipped to Rs 94 from Rs 94.18 a kg on MCX. The outstanding positions were 1,414 ( 1,450) lots in December , 2,844 ( 2,811 ) lots in January, 1,913 ( 1,898 ) lots in February and 595 ( 615) lots in March on NMCESpot prices (Rs a kg) were: RSS-4 : 91.50 ( 92); RSS-5 : 87.50 ( 88); ungraded : 84.50 ( 85); ISNR 20 : 87 ( 87); and latex 60% : 61 ( 61).
