CCMB to host Indo-French meet

Hyderabad, Dec. 10

The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) here is holding an Indo-French conference on `RNAi in genome control' from December 12. The three-day meet will address several aspects of biology and applications of RNA interface. Incidentally, the Nobel Prize for medicine and physiology for 2006 was given to RNAi work, which is expected to revolutionise the modern concept of biology. Dr Utpal Bhadra of CCMB and Dr Manika Pal Bhadra from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), who have made significant contributions in the field, will present their work being carried out here, a press release said. Mr Bruno Rouot, Attache for Science & Technology, French Embassy, will inaugurate the conference. - Our Bureau
