New Delhi, Dec 11

Franchise India Holding Ltd (FIHL), an integrated franchise solution company, has introduced 100 new international brands in the domestic retail market.

“At least 60 well-known international brands are entering the Indian market in the next one year. The advent of these global brands would mean superior customer experience through greater choice of brands to the customers,” Mr Gaurav Marya, President, FIHL, said.

He also unveiled the ‘India Small Business Report’, a study of small and privately held businesses in India. The study pointed out that 95 per cent of the country’s industrial units come under micro, small and medium enterprises. This sector has around 128.44 units and is registering growth of 4.1 per cent annually.

The value of production is estimated to have increased by 17.9 per cent to Rs 5,87,196 crore and the employment is estimated to have increased to 312.52 lakh persons. Over 180 global brands participated in the fifth international franchise and retail show.
