Kochi, Dec. 11

Alappat Gold Den Pvt Ltd, a new company formed by Kerala-based Alappat Jewellers, is planning to set up a chain of retail gold showrooms in Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore. The retail chain will be known as Alappat Gold. Mr Babu Antony Alappat, Chairman and Managing Director, said the new company is all set to open its first showroom here on Friday. The showroom that has been set up at an investment of Rs 30 crore, is made after extensive market research on factors influencing jewellery buying at present, he said. The Bangalore showroom, which is expected to complete in April next year, will also have a similar investment.
