Gandhinagar to host petro management meet

Gandhinagar, Dec 17 The Institute of Petroleum Management-Gandhinagar (IPMG) is organising an international conference for management of petroleum sector, ICOMPS 2007, from December 19 to 21 here.

Through this meet, IPMG, a constituent of the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), would provide platform to academicians, researchers, consultants and professionals working in the oil and gas sector , it said in a statement here today.

RIL Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Mukesh Ambani is President of PDPU, started by Gujarat Energy Research Management Institute (GERMI) which was registered as a society and trust as an initiative by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC).

PDPU is one of the few institutes in the world which provides sector-specific domain expertise courses and quality managerial capital to oil and gas sector.

The three-day conference would focus on the changing scenario in the petroleum sector and the management response to handle them .
