Our Bureau New Delhi, Dec. 17 Bharti Enterprises on Monday said it was in talks with real estate developers including DLF, Unitech, Parsvnath and MGM for space for its retail venture. “As a retailer our job is to go and talk to real estate players who have got land bank. We are talking to many players including DLF, Unitech, Parsvnath and MGM,” said Mr Rajan Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises, on the sidelines of a summit on cold chain infrastructure, organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry here. Mr Mittal said that the company was in discussions with real estate developers for both leasing and buying space depending on the location. Asked about Bharti Retail’s front-end store branding, he said it would be announced sometime later but declined to comment on whether the Wal-Mart name would be used. Mr Mittal said that the first store of Bharti Retail would be opened by the first quarter of next year. Bharti Enterprises and Wal-Mart had tied up for backend cash-and-carry business earlier this year. More Stories on : Retailing | Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd | Real Estate & Construction
