Shashi Tharoor’s company to set up IT finishing school

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 19 Former United Nations Under Secretary General, Mr Shashi Tharoor, is setting up a finishing school at the Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram.

Mr Tharoor, currently Chairman of the Dubai-based Afras Projects (India) Pvt Ltd, and Mr N. Radhakrishnan Nair, CEO, Technopark, have signed an agreement to establish this venture.

The finishing school, called Academy for Personality Development and Communication, will be headed by US-based speech pathologist Ms Tina Parsons, a statement said.

The academy, which is expected to start operations by March 2008, will have a panel of international trainers and focus on building the skills of young IT/ITeS professionals.
