Central Bank of India launches bouquet of products

Mumbai, Dec. 20 Central Bank of India has launched a bouquet of products and services to cater to the needs of diverse strata of customers. Ms H.A. Daruwalla, Chairperson and Managing Director, Central Bank of India said that the new range of products and services would make Internet banking a reality. This would enable the bank to introduce a host of services and facilities like online booking of railway tickets and payment of utility bills, said a press release from the bank.

New schemes

The bank has launched a reverse mortgage scheme called ‘Cent Swabhiman’ to enable senior citizens to monetise residential property. Under this scheme, senior citizens can receive a monthly assured fixed payment or bulk payment towards emergent expenses from the bank. The loan could be for a period up to 15 years at 10 per cent per annum.

With a view to finance the candidates undertaking pilot training, the bank has launched ‘Cent Udaan’ where a candidate can take a loan up to Rs 25 lakh with a repayment facility of five years after the completion of the training programme.

Cent Bal Bavishya, Homage to Pilgrimage ‘SHIRDI’ and Educational Loan-Apply online facilities are the other services that have been introduced by the bank.
