Mangalore airport new hall

Mangalore, Dec 26

The Airports Authority of India on Wednesday put into use the expanded departure hall at Mangalore airport for the benefit of passengers. The hall, built at cost of Rs 15 lakh, was opened by Mr Asha Ram, Executive Director (Aviation Safety), AAI, New Delhi. According to Mr M.R. Vasudeva, Airport Director, Mangalore, the expanded departure hall can accommodate around 250 passengers at a time. The previous departure hall was handling around 120 passengers. The demand for a bigger departure hall was felt with the growth in the number of aircraft and passenger movement. - Our Bureau
