Repair & Return in pact with Taiwan co

Bangalore, Dec.27

Repair & Return Technology (India), a Bangalore based reverse logistics company for electronic and ICT products, has entered into a joint venture with Sequel Technology of Taiwan to set up a unit for LCD display panel repair services and after market services for electronics consumer and communications industry. The company will tap the huge potential of repair services of LCD displays, which is now being done out of Taiwan and China. Sequel will be taking a ten per cent stake in the joint venture. The joint venture will invest $2 million initially to handle the LCD monitor repair work and plans to expand the services to other products such as mobile phone screen, laptop and television screens using LCD panel. The technology will be provided by Sequel, which has facilities in Shanghai and Taiwan and provides services to leading brands such as LG Electronics and Samsung. The new venture is expected to start its commercial operation from next financial year, said Mr M.V.N. Prasad, General Manager Repair & Return Technology. —
