Mumbai airport gets certification for complaint handling systems

Mumbai, Dec. 28 Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd has been certified under the ISO 10002:2004 international standard for Passenger Complaint Handling Systems.

According to a statement from the joint venture consortium led by GVK, it is the first such airport in India to receive this certification. The audit was completed by United Registrar of Systems, U.K.

Mr G.V. Sanjay Reddy, Vice-Chairman, GVK Industries Ltd and Managing Director of MIAL, said in the statement, “The dedication and commitment of the Facilities Team, coupled with the mTracker application implemented by Moveo Systems helped us realise this milestone.”

MIAL’s Compliments, Comments and Complaints or CCC cell had to undergo stringent assessment under nine guiding principles before receiving certification, the release said. The overall ISO 10002 process certification timeline was met in six months.
