Robert Bosch begins work at Coimbatore unit

Coimbatore, Jan. 11 Robert Bosch India Ltd, the 100 per cent software subsidiary of Bosch in India, has further expanded its presence in Coimbatore. The company has commenced work at the SEZ premises in Keernatham in an area of 21.9 acres. The proposed facility, the company’s first own development centre outside Bangalore, is expected to be ready by 2010. The company has already established its presence here at Saravanampatti, where over 700 people are employed. It plans to ramp up the headcount to 2,500 by 2010 in Coimbatore alone. Further, to reflect its core business capabilities and global aspirations, Rober Bosch has proposed a name change to Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.
