Century Tex to shut Mumbai mill

Coimbatore, Jan. 14

The Labour Commissioner of the Maharashtra Government has given permission to close the operations of the textile mill of Century Textiles & Industries Ltd at Worli in Mumbai, which had stopped its manufacturing operations consequent upon voluntary retirement opted for by about 6,300 workers out of about 6,600 workers and the mill has been closed with effect from January 12. - Our Bureau
