Want specific updates? Orglex is here for you

Compiles information in over 30 broad areas

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad, Jan. 14 For a busy and discerning information-hungry professional always on the move, staying update with the latest information is a constant endeavour. Orglex, a content aggregator, that uses innovative algorithms, makes this task swift and easy, providing information very specific to company or sector.

Founder of Orglex (from organisation and lexicon) Inc, Mr Nikhilesh Rao, who was earlier with Booz Allen Hamilton and Ernst & Young, along with Mr Bala B. Madaparthi, IIT professor and expert in artificial intelligence, conceived and developed Orglex.

Mr Rao told Business Line, “By using the power of intelligent tagging technologies and semantic grammar, www.Orglex.com aggregates information across over 30 broad areas, which it refers to as hubs and thereby provides access to that information. In fact, those registered would also get updates on their mail. It is proposed to expand this to 100 categories. “

“General content aggregation services deliver news or content on broad topics such as politics, business or sports. However, there are few general content aggregators who can deliver extremely relevant content focused on industries or organisations,” he explained.

Blogs have become a very important part of information boom and Orglex extracts precise information from them.

So what does Orglex do?

This is focused on industry and organisations such as news, jobs and people. To associate a particular piece of content with an industry, Orglex’s technology takes into account the context of the content, the importance of the source, if it has been published elsewhere, the semantic grammar of an industry, and many more industry and organisation-specific variables, and brings them together.

Orglex supports specific industries and this includes publicly listed organisations (Citigroup), business units within larger organisations (NBC within GE), and private organisations (KPMG).

How do industry professionals and users stay updated?

Orglex provides a central place to stay updated about relevant happenings in their industry. Industry professionals can sign up to this hub to get daily e-mails with the relevant updates or come straight to any of the hub pages. Orglex’s ultimate business model is based on selling targeted sponsorships, directory listings and advertising focused on specific industries.

How does Orglex differ from Google and other search engines?

This is complementary to Google and other search engines.
