Drivers of change in HR scene

Mangalore, Jan. 16

Technology, deregulation, and competition are the key drivers of change in the Human Resources scenario in the banking industry, according to Mr B. Sambamurthy, Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank.

Delivering the T.A. Pai Endowment Lecture on `Management of Human Resource in Banking' at Mangalore University here on Wednesday, he said that these three factors have created a huge gap for talented people and the knowledge workforce. Tracing the use of technology from the days of standalone computers in branches to the current era of core banking solutions, he said technology has opened up an HR gap.- Our Bureau
