Tata’s Nano

The article “A new challenge awaits Mr Ratan Tata” (Business Line, January 21) is a piece of good writing. I would like to cite a few points. The US is nearly three times bigger in geographical area compared to India, which has nearly four times the population of the US. While US became independent in 1776, India became independent in 1947. India has done wonders in a short span of 60 years.

As pointed out in the article, Indians should take lessons on how to drive and Mr Ratan Tata could be invited to take up the challenge of traffic management. In the same edition, another writer has praised Mr Tata, who “dreamt big, and built small”. One hopes, in course of time, the Nano will be imported into the US for its size and convenience.
