SBI help desk on IT refund

Banglore, Jan. 29

The State Bank of India has set up a help desk for individual assesses to ascertain information about their income tax refund in Bangalore. The facility has been set up under the Refund Banker Scheme introduced by the IT department in October last year. Tax payers could obtain the status of their refunds by dialling the telephone number 26599760 through the week except on Sundays. They can also access the website www.tinnsdl. com to get the information. These facilities, however, are no available to corporate assessees and assessees of income-tax exemptions range, said an IT department release here. - Our Bureau
