Strategy Variety - Interiors & Homes TTK Prestige forays into modular kitchen segment

Jagannathan Our Bureau Bangalore, Jan.30 TTK Prestige on Wednesday announced the launch of its second retail format that aims to cater to the growing demand for modular kitchens and accessories. The new format, Prestige Kitchen Boutique, will provide complete kitchen storage solutions with modern ambience and customised designs. For this venture, the company plans to initially focus on the south Indian market. Equipped with a design studio that allows customers to get a look and feel of each kitchen style exclusively, Prestige Kitchen Boutiques offers a comprehensive choice of materials, styles, designs, accessories, hardware and electro-domestic combinations like hobs and chimneys, said Mr T.T. Jagannathan, Chairman, TTK Group. Addressing a press conference here Wednesday, he said, “With the realty boom, the market is ripe for modular kitchens and it was a logical step for us to foray into this segment. With this, we are a ‘Total Kitchen Solutions’ company”. The company has 180 Prestige Smart Kitchen stores across 110 cities offering its brand of pressure cookers, cook wares and other appliances. TTK Prestige expects the Kitchen Boutique foray to boost to its growth from the current 30 per cent, said Mr S. Ravichandran, Managing Director of TTK Prestige Ltd.
