LIC Ernakulam divn crosses Rs 1,000 cr

Kochi, Feb. 1

LIC Ernakulam division has crossed Rs 1,000 crore mark in the first premium income to become the No 1 division in the country.

The annual budget of first premium of Rs 955 crore was crossed on January 18 and the division has already collected Rs 1,008 crore as on date, Mr J. Anilkumar, Senior Divisional Manager, said at a press meet here on Friday.

He pointed out that the division had sold a total of 4,42,000 policies and the major contribution for the first premium income comes from LIC’s unit linked plans.
