Financial Services States - Kerala Our Bureau Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 1 Capstocks and Securities (India) Pvt Ltd is opening a ‘knowledge centre’ here to spread awareness about the financial sector among its investors and the public at large. The centre will feature three functional areas, namely, a publication division, training centre and wealth management service, according to Mr V. Rajendran, Managing Director, Capstocks and Securities. He said here on Friday that the publication division would bring out booklets related to equity markets. Already the company is publishing daily, weekly and monthly newsletters as well as a weekly newsletter on commodities. MagazineThe research wing of the company will soon launch a tri-monthly magazine for investors containing in-depth articles on the stock market, mutual funds and the upcoming initial public offers, he said. The training centre will offer short-term courses and conduct seminars on tracking the movement of various scrips in the stock market and picking the appropriate ones; buying and selling of scrips at the right time; and analysing a company’s ‘fundamentals’. The wealth management service section will offer personalised investment solutions focusing on the risk-returns profile and other financial needs of the individual. Single-window optionThe service would provide a long-term perspective on investments and provide a single-window option for various investment needs, Mr Rajendran said. Talking of the current situation in the stock market, he said that for the genuine long-term investors in the cash markets, there was no need to worry. Nothing has changed fundamentally and the long-term targets are still intact. However, in the short term, things might take time to become normal and the present phase of correction would leave the market healthier in the long term, Mr Rajendran said.
