Maruti hikes car prices

New Delhi, Feb. 2 Maruti Suzuki on Saturday announced a price hike between Rs 1,000 and Rs 11,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) across all models.

The company raised Maruti 800 prices by Rs 1,000; Alto and Omni by Rs 2,500; Zen Estilo by Rs 2,000; Wagon R by Rs 3,500; Versa by Rs 4,000 and the newly-launched sedan SX4 by Rs 11,000, with a few variations specific to models.

In January, the company had increased the price of its hatchback Swift by Rs 1,000. The company spokesperson said the price hike has come into effect since Friday and dispatches have been made to dealers based on the new price.
