Kronos tool for manufacturing cos

Mumbai, Feb. 4

The US-based software company Kronos Incorporated has announced the launch of a software solution for manufacturing, designed to maximise productivity and achieve operational excellence in manufacturing units. Announcing the launch of Kronos' Workforce Central Version 6.0, Mr Gregg S. Gordon, Global Practice Director for Manufacturing, said, "Kronos allows manufacturers to optimise productivity by ensuring they have people with right skills at the right time, by aligning labour to the volume of demand coming from customers." The company has a 70-member workforce functional at its Noida centre near Delhi. Kronos helps manage resources on the shop floor by providing manufacturers real-time visibility on their performance. Kronos has a tie up with IBM; manufacturing solution is available on IBM middleware technology. Globally, the customers for Kronos for manufacturing include Mitsubishi, Arvin Meritor, Freescale semiconductors and Volkswagen. - Our Bureau
