VSNL teams up with US firm iPass

Chennai, Feb. 7 VSNL on Wednesday said it has partnered with a California-based company iPass, to integrate more than 350 Tata Indicom Wi-Fi hotspots to the iPass Global Broadband Roaming Network.

iPass is a company that provides software and services to unify the management of remote and mobile connectivity and devices.

VSNL’s association with this company not only gives iPass customers added coverage but the VSNL Partner Hotels, Cafes, and other entities who have deployed VSNL Wi-Fi services on their premises also benefit from increased roaming usage, said a statement from VSNL.

Tata Indicom Wi-Fi hotspot locations include major domestic and international airports.Key locations include Taj Hotels Group, Le Méridien, the Café Coffee Day and Barista chain of coffee shops, Manipal University, and Wockhardt.
