Madurai, March 2

The Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia) has invited applications from tiny and small industries that commenced production before April 2004 for the MADITSSIA-AIMO Award 2007 for the best small scale industry, namely the Visvesvaraya Award, from units functioning in the districts of Madurai, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Theni. While the first prize carries an award worth Rs 10,000, the second and third prizes carry awards worth Rs 5,000 each, sponsored by Canara Bank.
