It is a good budget pleasing common man. Increasing basic exemption limit to

Rs 2,25,000 will certainly help senior citizens; the medical insurance exemption is also welcomed. But the senior citizens would have been happier if the Finance Minister has reduced the age limit from 65 to lower say 62 or 63. The Railways already co nsider those who crossed 60 years age as senior citizen. Only a very few senior citizens earn more income after 65. And with age, their medical expenses increase. Recently medical insurers have doubled the premium. I hope some thing will be done to reduce the age limit of senior citizens before the Finance Bill is finally passed.
