GoAir passengers get Tata AIG cover

Mumbai, March 3 GoAir, the Wadia group-owned low cost carrier, signed a deal with Tata AIG General Insurance to offer insurance travel cover to its passengers booking their tickets only through the carrier’s Web site, a statement said.

The domestic passenger booking a GoAir ticket will be able to avail its benefits by paying a premium of Rs 129.

According to the statement, in the cover offered by Tata AIG General Insurance, any GoAir passenger choosing to buy the offer will be financially compensated for up to Rs 10,500 by the insurance company in case a flight is delayed beyond a specified duration.

Besides, the passenger buying the insurance cover will be entitled to various benefits including baggage loss reimbursement, trip cancellation and trip interruption benefit, and emergency accidental medical benefit.
