Info-Tech - Budget
Knowledge centres will help IT industry

The Government has allocated Rs 100 crore for the Information Technology Ministry to set up National Knowledge Centres. This is a positive step and will help boost the growth of IT industry. However, there is no change in the peak rate of customs duty for non-agricultural imports which is not a very encouraging step. Other sectors should have been included under the category.

George Van Der Merwe,

COO, Sahara Computers
