Human Resources Bangalore cos pay the most for developers Our Bureau Bangalore, March 5 Bangalore is the highest pay destination for software product development engineers. In its annual study on ‘Compensation and Benefits’ for 2008, management consulting firm Zinnov says that though Pune witnessed an increase of almost 20 per cent in average salary since last year, Bangalore product development companies still pay the highest salaries. The average salary increase for the industry stood at 14 per cent for the year 2007, compared to the 20 per cent pay hike in 2006. The average salaries for engineering companies across the country have however come down by three per cent, indicating that salaries in product companies are now stabilising and also these organisations are also increasing their junior level hires to scale up their operations and jeep their average cost in control. The study, covering 40 product development companies in Bangalore, Pune, NCR and Chennai regions looked at salary increases for 42 positions across 11 functions. More Stories on : Human Resources
