Upgraded Subex system

Our Bureau

Bangalore, March 5 Subex Ltd, provider of operations support systems for communications service providers, said it launched Optima 4.5, a new version of its route optimisation system designed to help telecom operators better manage network cost information, analyse the impact of current operator tariffs and provide forecasts on future operator tariffs.

The new version supports Oracle Database 10g, one of the most widely deployed enterprise databases in the telecom industry, the company said.

Oracle 10g helps providers reduce costs and lower the time taken to market new services, said Ms Anuradha, Senior V-P - Engineering, Subex.

Optima is part of the Rocware suite of solutions supporting the concept of the revenue operations centre, which is a consolidated framework of systems that enables advanced revenue management, cost control and profit enhancement, the company said in a statement.
